HOW TO SCORE WITHOUT STUDYING??

SOUNDS RUBBISH..BUT MAYBE IT'S QUITE TRUE..

In one of the course i've attended that involved students n also science teachers, an experienced teacher had taught us "HOW TO SCORE WITHOUT STUDYING"..All of our students, eager to hear it and we teachers just "geleng kepala"...but after hearing the points from her, i think this method can be applied to GALUS & HALUS(weak) students..

The points are(briefly):

1) You must score Section A Paper 2..that part doesn't need any reading..just u must know the right techniques to answer it..(TECHNIQUES WILL BE PUBLISHED IN THE NEXT POST)

2) For Section C, Question 10 is compulsory..there's also the techniques..

3) Section C, Question 12 is problem solving..also techniques there..

4) And lastly for Paper 1..u must score at least half of the questions..

AND WITH THIS, U CAN PASS THE SCIENCE EXAM...

BUT, EVENTUALLY THAT TEACHER ASK MY STUDENTS.."DO YOU WANT ONLY 40 MARKS IN YOUR REAL EXAM??IS THAT YOUR ONLY TARGET??"...AND MY STUDENTS ANSWERED SIMULTANEOUSLY.."NOO....." SO AT LAST, I FEEL QUITE RELIEVED THAT MY STUDENTS ACTUALLY GOT THE HIGHER TARGET..

AND THAT TEACHER MOTIVATED MY STUDENTS TO TARGET HIGHER THAN WHAT THEY THINK THEY CAN ACHIEVED.."CAUSE WHEN WE TARGET HIGHER WE WILL WORK HARDER"..That's what the teacher said..

TITLE FOR PEKA EXPERIMENT

FORM 4

1) Continuous Variation of Hibiscus Leaves
2) Reaction of Metal with Water
3) Focal Length of Thinner and Thicker Convex Lens

FORM 5

1) The Effects of pH on the Growth of Bacteria
2) The Effects of Penicillin (Concentration) on the Growth of Bacteria.
3) The Effects of Acetic Acid and Ammonia on the Latex

AS A NEW TEACHER FOR THIS SUBJECT, I WOULD LOVE TO GET ANY OTHER SUGGESTION FROM EXPERIENCED TEACHER ABOUT THE SUITABLE EXPERIMENTS IN THE SYLLABUS THAT WILL INCLUDED ALL THE ELEMENTS NEEDED FOR THE ASSESSMENT..TQ

PEKA = "Give Ur Full Attention/Beri Sepenuh Perhatian"

PEKA (Penilaian Kemahiran Amali)

This was my experience..usually, in the first week of schooling i will get my students brainwashed..for both convenience, i try to state to them that PEKA is nothing to be comparable to their homework/exercise..it so much more important that it will somehow helps them in some ways..

1)it will contribute marks to real SPM exam..of course

2)it helps you to answer Question 10 regarding the experiments..

So, everytime i mentioned PEKA, they will get serious and try their best to get the perfect score for their report..

Rules For PEKA SCIENCE SPM:

1)Draw 2 straight lines vertically at the right side of your paper..the First Column is for CC and the Second Column is for SCORE

2)It must be in right order:
a. Title :
b. Aim/Objective : (C1P1)
c. Hypothesis : (C1P2)
d. Identification of variables : (C1P3)
e. Materials and Apparatus : (C1P4)
f. Procedure/Method : (C1P5)
g. Tabulation of data :
h. Diagrams/Graph :
i. Discussions :
j. Conclusions :

3)The diagrams drew in this report must be clear and represent the real apparatus.

4)The table drew also must be in straight line (use a ruler pliz!!)..and each column must be separated clearly..the headings or title of each columns also must be correct.

5)For graph, it must be a smooth line graph..and if it is histogram the size of the histogram must be the same..

6)And last but not least..PLEASE WRITE NEATLY..IF POSSIBLE GIVE THE BEST HANDWRITING FOR THIS REPORT..

experiment is FUN!!!

In Science SPM, there will be a lot of experiments either in form 4 and form 5..
So the first step to VICTORY is a basic step which is u must recognize and know all the apparatus used in laboratory..

(MAYBE SOME WILL THINK THIS IS RUBBISH.."WE'VE ALREADY LEARN IT IN OUR PRIMARY FORM" BUT BE CAREFUL, U MAY LOSE UR PRECIOUS MARK IN THIS TINY LITTLE THINGS U TEND TO IGNORED AT THE FIRST PLACE)

Basic Apparatus in Science SPM

1)Beaker
2)Test Tube
3)Measuring Cylinder
4)Bunsen Burner
5)Tripod Stand
6)Wire Gauze
7)Conical Flask
8)Thermometer
9)Glass Rods
10)Evaporating Dish
11)Stopwatch
12)Tripod Stand
13)Filter Funnel
14)Microscope
15)Ray Box
16)Petri Dish
17)Gas Jar
18)Crucible
19)Crucible Tongs
20)Test Tube Rack
21)Test Tube Holder
22)Spatula

REMEMBER!!U MUST BE ABLE TO DRAW THESE APPARATUS CORRECTLY AND ALSO KNOW THEIR FUNCTION..BECAUSE IN ESSAY QUESTION IT WILL CONTRIBUTE MARKS FOR YOU..
